Keeping Perspective, Here, Wall Art of Statue of Liberty
I find it helpful to try to keep things in perspective, these days. Here is one image from my archives I find stirring-- I did not take this photo, but did design this poster, this example of wall decor, first introduced to the market on the occasion of the centennial celebration of the Statue of Liberty in New York City back in 1986. This poster was the largest selling item in NYC that weekend, I was told. We sold many thousands on the street at 2 Broadway, NYC, that weekend. Some posters went even to China, apparently. A Russian contacted me for distribution, that was interesting but did not go forward. I have a few left, they are not in perfect condition, but are in good condition. You buy knowing these posters have been in storage. But they do make nice gifts and the color values are still good, also. At one point, I received word the whole collection was entered into the permanent collection at the National Monument at Ellis Island, though I have not seen them displayed there-- still on my bucket list.
